阴历我们称作lunar calendar

Solar表示太阳，lunar表示月亮。不知道有没有人看过，美少女战士那只小猫的名字就叫做露娜，其实就是音似lunar表示月亮。

如果是阳历solar clendar的，12月30号我们可以用两种方法说。

美式英语：December the 30th.

英式英语：The 30th of December

现在知道了吧，“大年三十”用英语怎么说？别说成“December the 30th”啊！

但是如果要说农历或者是阴历的12月30号，我们会说得相对复杂一点。

The 30th day of the 12th lunar month

——这才是大年三十

意思是表示第12个阴历月份的第30天，也就是腊月三十。说起来有点复杂哈，同理大家推断一下：

The first day of the first lunar month

是啥时候呢？

“除夕”和“团年饭”用英语怎么说？

当然大年三十的晚上，也可以叫做除夕，Chinese New Year's Eve或者Lunar New Year's Eve。千万不要只是单纯的说成New Year's Eve呀，因为这个，表示2023年到2024年阳历年的跨年夜。

接下来我们说一说这天的大项目——团年饭。

团年饭英语可以直接说

reunion dinner

Reunion就表示团聚，那reunion dinner就是团聚的晚餐，可不就是团年饭了吗？

英语例句：

The reunion dinner makes a family gathering on the Lunar New Year's Eve and the Chinese consider it to be the most important part of the celebration.

团年饭能够让一家人在除夕夜团聚，而且中国人把它当成很重要的一个庆祝部分。‍

“春晚”和“守岁”用英语怎么说？

吃完团年饭之后，那肯定是要看春节联欢晚会啦。春晚可以翻译成：

Spring Festival Gala

也可以叫做

CCTV New Year's Gala

Gala一般用于表示各种盛会，盛宴。

英语例句：

CCTV New Year's Gala is broadcast annually on the Eve of Chinese New Year on its flagship CCTV-1 and internationally through the China global television network.

央视的春晚每年会在CCTV-1播放，并且通过中国全球电视网络播放。‍

看春晚看到12:00，其实就是为了守岁。

守岁是什么呢？

All family members gather to stay awake all night as it is believed to stay delayed the aging process of the more elderly family members and then hence increase longevity.

守岁其实是所有的家庭成员会聚在一起，在大年三十的晚上尽量不睡觉，保持清醒，因为这样做的话，可以延迟老人的衰老进程，从而增长寿命。

所以守岁可以翻译成

guard age——守护年岁
